Hi, I'm Luke Davis and I'm an educator and coach with over 19 years of leadership and teaching experience.


As an educational leader, I look for the unique qualities in each individual, and once discovered, invest in guiding and coaching them to become thoughtful, compassionate, engaged and highly skilled citizens of our modern world.

SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

DIRECTOR OF SCHOOL ADVANCEMENT

  • Co-led the development of school marketing materials from a new website, logo, profile, school videos, social media plan, testimonials, merchandize design, and other materials that brand the school experience 

  • Developed a marketing and enrollment plan in consultation with the Board, which continues to see enrollment growth

  • Identified and developed a team of school Ambassadors at over five major companies/organizations, who helped to market the school 

  • Reviewed and improved the school admissions process to ensure support of prospective, new and current families from entry to exit and beyond

  • Broadened the school’s alumni engagement activities with bi-annual gatherings, data-base development, and guest speakers 

  • Planned and executed successful 65th and 70th Anniversary celebrations locally and internationally in New York engaging over 500 participants

  • Managed the school social media platforms

  • Led the reorganization of the Parent-Teacher Organization

  • Served on the school’s Strategic Plan Committee

  • Served on the school Buildings & Grounds Committee during major projects, including the designing and overseeing of school swimming pool, turf field and auxiliary gym construction 

  • Served as faculty representative on the Director Search Committee

  • Presented at NESA Leadership and IAAAC Conferences

  • Led the organization of in-person and virtual Graduation celebrations for the Class of 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024

DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS & ACTIVITIES

  • Directed entire MS and HS Athletic program for 16 years, including organization of almost 50 successful national and regional (SAISA) tournaments and festivals

  • Served as the SAISA (10 member league) Athletic Directors Coordinator for five years 

  • Founded and directed a local sports league in Nepal for international schools 

  • Expanded and implemented a mission-driven After-School Activities program

  • Created and implemented an effective new method for building and assessing sportsmanship in the SAISA league

  • Co-developed an effective Secondary School Physical Education program

  • Co-developed a dynamic and developmentally appropriate middle school program, including the implementation of House Leagues, Portfolios, and a Student-Led Conference model

  • Served on the Physical Education and Social Studies Core Review Teams, which resulted in a new philosophy, structure, and standards

  • Organized and implemented annual school wide wellness weeks and sports days

  • Head Coach for SAISA Boys’/Girls’ Soccer, including six championship victories

  • Directed over five successful Middle & High School plays

  • Coordinated School’s Service-Learning Program in the aftermath of the 2015 earthquake in
    Nepal, which included the reconstruction of two schools, as well as providing clean drinking water and WASH facilities for 1600+ students

  • Led the development of a conference-wide Child Protection Policy

DIRECTOR OF AQUATICS

  • Designed, developed and implemented a new aquatics facility and whole-school swimming and water-safety curriculum, policies and procedures

  • Head Coach for SAISA Swimming, including coaching 12 swimmers to represent their countries at World Aquatics Championships

  • Coached swimmers to the 2012 (London), 2021 (Tokyo), 2024 (Paris) Olympics and over 10 World Championships (short and long course)

  • Coached four of my swimmers and the Nepal National Team in the 2014 (Doha), 2021 (Abu Dhabi), and 2024 (Doha) World Aquatics Championships (SC and LC)

  • Hosted and won SAISA Swimming Championships on two occasions

  • Hosted multiple swim camps with double Olympic Gold Medalist, Penny Heyns

  • Coached swimmers to a current 40 conference records (86 total events) and multiple national records

  • Helped Nepal host the 2019 South Asian Games by coaching its swimmers, hosting the selection trials, and helping to run and officiate the actual games 

  • AUSTSWIM Presenter, AUSTSWIM and RLS teacher, and Swim Australia Foundation Coach
